Todd Stafford knew where he wanted to play his college ball, so he didn't hesitate in making a decision.
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Stafford gave a non-binding oral commitment to Massachusetts. He made an unofficial visit to junior day recently at Gillette Stadium, and the experience was the capper for him.
"I love the campus and the direction the program is headed," said Stafford, who plays at the Brunswick School in Greenwich, Conn. "The offense should be a perfect fit because it is a pass heavy offense, which favors my skill set."
Massachusetts is moving to the FBS level this season under first-year coach Charley Molnar, who is quickly making a name for himself in recruiting the northeast.
"He's an awesome overall person, extremely on top of everything," Stafford said. "He has great morals and is extremely experienced, and he knows what he is talking about."
